Xiamen University Scholarships 2016 CHINA for International Students:
Xiamen University Scholarships awards are for those applicants who want to pursue their doctor, masters and undergraduate degrees from the Xiamen University in China. The awardees’ academic performance will be assessed each year and only those achieving the required standard will have their scholarship renewed for the following year.

Scholarships are available in all subjects offered by the Xiamen University
Numbers of Scholarships
Total 24 scholarships (including 8 for doctoral candidates, 11 for master’s candidates and 5 for undergraduate candidates)
Duration of Scholarships
A maximum duration of 3 to 4 years for doctoral programs, 2 to 3 years for master’s programs and 4 to 5 years for undergraduate programs

Monthly living allowance: RMB 3,500 /person
Master’s candidates

Monthly living allowance: RMB 3,000 /person
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for bachelor’s degree studies must have a high school diploma
Age must be under the age of 25
Applicants for master’s degree studies must have a bachelor’s degree
Age must be under the age of 40
Applicants for doctoral degree studies must have a master’s degree
Age must be under the age of 45
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens
Must have a good health

Application Form for International Students
Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree certificate (notarized copy in English or Chinese)
A photocopy of Chinese (HSK) or English Proficiency Certificate or medium-of-instruction certificate
A photocopy of your valid passport
Two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English by professors or associate professors
Academic transcripts relating to bachelor’s degrees and master’s degrees studies
Study or research plan (minimum 1,000 words) in Chinese or English
If applicants have published papers, the abstracts should be enclosed during submission of their application documents
